Meet Bonita, she's approx. 1.5 years old, 35lbs and we believe she is a Shepherd mix. Spanish for "Beautiful", this pretty girl is best described as "sweet as sugar!" She is shy and cautious and may take her some time to warm up to you, but when she does, you won't want her to leave your side. She is gentle, loving, friendly and very affectionate! She is great with other dogs and is usually the submissive one. Her large ears are her best feature! They are always pointing in crazy directions and make her facial expressions so adorable and funny. Best Qualities: When asked by the staff what her best qualities are they said she always looks into your eyes and gives you her full attention. Her Perfect Day: She'd want lots of good morning cuddles from her humans, Bonita is very affectionate. Then go for a run or out into the yard to play with her human/s and doggie brother or sister. Bonita lacks confidence on her own, but when she's around other dogs they help her come out of her shell and her personality really shines. She absolutely loves to play with other dogs! She walks great on a leash too! Fun Fact: Bonita has a crooked tail, but that just makes her even more beautiful and unique. Bonita would thrive in a home with other confident dogs that can help her open up and be herself. Sometimes if she gets too excited she can be a little jumpy so smaller kids in the home might not be ideal. She is housetrained, up to date on her vaccines, spayed, microchipped and is ready to find her forever home!
