Searching for my best friend...Hi, I'm Jake, a 2-year-old Labrador Retriever who is ready to bust on out of the shelter into a home. Now, if you're looking for a pup that's friends with everyone they meet and one who enjoys going out in public with you, I'll be honest, that's not me. But! If you're looking for a constant companion, a shadow to follow you around the house, a pup who enjoys being active but also appreciates lazy days and most importantly a dog who will love and protect you with their whole heart, than I am the one for you!I like to think that I can sniff out good people, and if I choose you, you will be in my circle for life. Be prepared for my silly zooms, random hugs and to spend lots of time outdoors with me. I absolutely love lounging around in the sun! I dream that my forever home will have a comfy bed for me to rest my head and a giant toy box full of stuffed toys for me to play with. My home skills are top notch as I am both housebroken and crate trained, I walk on a leash with grace and I am sucker for belly rubs. I do ask that my new home is free of kids and cats, and I would prefer one where there are not a lot of visitors. In return, I will reward you with many years of laughs, love and loyalty. If you have other dogs in the home, bring them with you when you meet me. Please consider taking me home.
