Are you searching for someone to spark joy in your life? Well, you've found her, and her name is Reia! A perfect combination of playful and affectionate, this 5-year-old 40-pound pup will warm your heart and make you smile. An elite athlete, she excels at catch, fetch, tug of war, and the occasional round of zoomies. We've noticed she sometimes has a little hop to her run and suspect she may have some bunny, or maybe kangaroo, in her DNA. More on that later. After "all that exercise - all being a relative term meaning 15 to 20 minutes - Reia takes time to rest. She loves nothing better than to end her day curled up on the sofa, head on your lap with her favorite toy watching some TV before bedtime. (Seriously, it's a ritual and one that her foster mom will miss when her forever family claims her.) She is housebroken and will let you know when she needs to go out and will use pooch pads in a pinch. If you are to spark joy for Reia, there are a few things she needs. Reia will happily welcome your human friends, and within minutes of meeting will have them playing a game with her, but she is quite content being your one and only pet. Not that she doesn't love cats, but she thinks they're toys and plays rough with them - as in chases and grabs them - so cats don't love her and if you love your cats you won't bring Reia home. She is socially awkward and just doesn't know what to do with other dogs. In fact, they're a source of great anxiety for her. She yodels, screams like a banshee, and is overexcited around them. So, if you're looking for a dog to take to the dog park or pet friendly restaurants, or will have friends visiting with their canine companions, you are not the person for Reia. But if you are looking for a wonderful loving companion, one that makes your house a home and will be as devoted to you as you are to her, Reia's looking for that too. And a yard. One with at least a four-foot privacy fence because, you know, kangaroo DNA. Reia has been a joy to foster and she's ready to find her forever family.
