Bear is a two-year-old black Lab-Mix who is looking for an energetic owner. Bear does have a short nip/bite history, never drawn blood or held to. would be best placed with an experienced pet owner. He requires much patience as he is still learning many social skills. Bear is a very anxious dog who has a lot of love to give to the right person. Bear needs to feel safe and protected by his new owner. Someone who can instill a lot of confidence in him. Bear will do well in a single dog household, however, he does get along well with female dogs of his same size. Bear prefers to be around woman mainly, as some men may scare him. Overall, he’s a kind dog who just needs someone to offer him the time he needs to mature. Obedience training goes a long way with him, he loves to do training exercises. A big chewer, preferably bones and non plastic material. Loves dog parks, however, may be upset if an intact male dog chases him. Bear seems indifferent to children, but has overpowering energy.
