Meet our very sweet and petite girl named Puddin! Puddin is about 6 months old, and she came to our shelter after she was found roaming on the side of the turnpike. She is a very friendly puppy who absolutely loves getting attention from people. When Puddin is outside of her kennel in our backyard, she is very calm and quiet. She has a little interest in toys, but she isn't overly excited about them. She is food motivated and already knows how to sit and give paw. When Puddin first came to our shelter, she was super skinny. We are still trying to get some weight on her, but she eats very well. We have noticed that when Puddin has pressure placed on her throat/trachea, this causes her to vomit. For example, if we use a slip lead leash around her neck and it tightens, this causes her to vomit. Because of this, Puddin will need to be walked using a harness instead of a regular collar. We aren't sure how she is with other dogs yet, but she tested well with cats. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.
