Koda is a very friendly girl that walks well on a leash. She does well in a crate, and does seem to be housebroken. Her ear is crimped due to a hematoma that collapsed a few years ago. She does not seem to mind other dogs, but has not been dog tested. She is not cat friendly. She is a typical husky that will jump a fence, or find a way out, so she either needs a secure fence or someone that will go outside with her. She is incredibly vocal and more than likely would not make an appropriate apartment dog. Koda will dig under fences if left unattended. We ask that potential adopters either be experienced husky owners or at least be willing to do extensive research on the breed before they commit to adopting her. Huskies are fantastic dogs, but they need a ton of maintenance to ensure that they are properly stimulated. Huskies are known to be loud, very energetic energetic, have a strong prey drive, can be destrucive, and are escape artists. We do not want Koda going to someone who cannot properly understand the breed. She does great with people and loves pretty much anyone. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention, and has been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordetella.
