Adopt Kip (Gorgeous Calico) a Calico or Dilute Calico Domestic Shorthair (short

Location:
Port Orange, FL
Description:

407-937-XXXX ADOPT KIP- a gorgeous calico cat who needs a good home. This adoption is NOT through Furry Nation Salvation and is a Courtesy Post. Please call the individual listed below with any further questions or to set up a time to meet the pet. Thank you. Please call/text this number if interested: 407-937-XXXX Cat located in this city: Daytona Beach, FL Cat’s Name: Kip Cat’s Age & Sex: Female, 4 years old Cat’s vetting history (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped): spayed, chipped, vaccinated Animals story: (were found and reason for wanting to rehome): Kip started coming around our back porch consistently out of nowhere for weeks. We could tell she was not a stray so we eventually let her in and rescued her. We later found out that she belonged to a nursing home that had acted as a shelter during CoVid and she left because she wanted to. We got in touch with the owner and she was thrilled that Kip had picked us and we wanted to keep her. Unfortunately my elderly cat has not accepted Kip despite trying very, very hard. We feel that it is unfair for both animals given the current situation and therefore need to rehome Kip even though it breaks our heart. Personality (shy, social, likes to be held, lap cat? Likes or dislikes): Kip is sweet, playful and curious. She loves sitting on the back porch and rubbing up on our legs. She enjoys other animals and wants to be their friend. What food is the cat eating (dry only, dry and wet): dry food only although I just learned from this rescue organization how important wet food is for cats so maybe you can start skip on wet food (and limiting food he crappy dry)?:::::::::::Please know that cats need canned wet food given DAILY. Why? Because cats have a low thirst drive and actually NEED the moisture from the wet food! Wet food is 75 % water (dry FOOD only 10%) and giving them wet food daily will help them avoid Urinary tract issues (which can lead to litter box avoidance), kidney disease, obesity issues linked to diabetes and cardiac issues. You will save on vet bills too! Limit the overly processed dry food and ensure cat eats all the wet food daily:::::::::::: More info here: FurryNationSalvation.Org/wetfood IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT:1) Please show up with a cat carrier2) Small adoption fee of: $503) I will call/text one month from adoption day just to make sure everything is going well4) Please show up with your Driver's License.5) Information sheet will be filled out (your information as well as mine)*Please know, that when you bring your newly adopted cat or kitten home, it is always BEST to place him/her in a very small room (bathroom works great) with their litter box, food, water, and bed for a few days to a few weeks. This way the animal can adjust much quicker and get acclimated to the new environment with less stress. All cats/kittens need time to adjust, so if you adopt please allow this. Thank you.
