Hey there! I'm Mars! I'm a sweet and goofy boy staying here at the Blue Mountain Humane Society looking for my furever home! I'm very smart and playful but still in need of some basic training. With enough love and patience, we can work on me become the best companion I can be! I love to play outside and I do well with other dogs, however, the BMHS staff highly recommends bringing your dog along to meet to to make sure we get along! If I sound like the pup for you, fill out an application on the Blue Mountain Humane Society website and come by to visit! I'm sooo excited to meet you!Adoption process1. Browse the animals online or stop by during our shelter hours.2. Get to know the animal. Play with them, take them for a quick walk, observe their behavior.3. Talk to our staff about the animal. Learn about their personality!4. Once you’ve decided to adopt, fill out an adoption application. Dogs over the age of 6 months can go on a home-trial to make sure they are your perfect match. Puppy, cat, and kitten adoptions can be finalized that day!5. Receive a lifetime of unconditional love! Animals are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Part of our mission is to place the animals in their new forever home as soon as possible, so we normally don't "hold" an animal for the Adopter.Shelter locationWe are open to the public Tuesday - Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for adoptions. Special events include PETCO & Farmer's Market in Walla Walla. Our pets can also be seen online at www.bluemountainhumane.org
