Our Gilligan's Island litter of TEN PUPPIES will be available to go to new homes around February 10. Their mama is a 20lb MinPin & Chi mix with the sweetest, most easy going personality. Dad is unknown. *PLEASE READ TO THE END* The puppies will go into new homes on a foster-to-adopt basis, meaning you are caring for them until it's time for their adoption to be finalized, and that happens once we have fully covered all of their medical needs including puppy vaccines and spay/neuter. All of those veterinary appointments happen in Richardson, so please keep this in mind when applying. We do not adopt outside of a 60 miles radius. HERE'S THE DEAL: The puppies are too young to leave littermates fully. We strive to meet all needs of all the pets in our program and for wee puppies, this means at least 8 weeks with littermates as part of their socialization plan. This is crucial to their development. SO WHAT ARE WE ASKING?: We are asking for families who are interested in adopting, to take 2-3 puppies for 2-3 weeks, this not only allows your chosen puppy to get the best start, but you are helping us with another. And trust us, it's far easier at this stage to care for 2-3 tiny puppies than it is a solo puppy. They bundle together (hint: sleep through the night), learn from each other and play with each other. It's much easier and extremely beneficial to have playmates for this age of puppy! Around 8wks of age, puppies will then individually move on to their new homes. We do not adopt out littermates to the same home. IF YOU ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN CARING FOR AND ADOPTING ONE PUPPY, we can still take your application, but puppies will not be available until closer to March 1. Discounts are available for adopters of our senior pets. Your adoption fee helps defray veterinary expenses while your pet was in our care. Your pet will be neutered, microchipped, current on shots, heartworm tested and treated if necessary; and started on heartworm preventative.
