Colin is one of a group of bunnies that were rescued by Orange County Animal Services earlier this year and then transferred to ORCA. All of the buns were given strong Scottish names as they had been through a lot in their former lives. In Gaelic the name Colin means cub, or young pup, which suits this blond, blue-eyed boy perfectly! Colin has a sweet and playful personality and has put any unfortunate experiences behind him. This is a curious little boy who enjoys exploring in his foster home. He is an excellent litter box user, and he gets along well with the cats in his foster home. Colin’s favorite activities include doing “happy dances,” going on journeys of exploration during his free roam time, receiving pets and attention from his foster humans, and lying on the cool tile floor watching the world go by. He is an enthusiastic eater of hay and greens and gets very excited about his food pellets and the occasional rabbit treat. This easygoing and joyful rabbit is eager to meet his forever family! We adopt to indoor homes only! Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.##1632934##Adoption processFor those that want to bond a new rabbit with an existing rabbit, we conduct bonding events where the home rabbit can meet several rabbits to find a potential match. We work with the adopting family to help ensure that the rabbits bond. We take back the adoptive rabbit if there is not a match. Our adoption agreement specifies that we will take any adopted rabbit back, should the home situation change in the future.Shelter locationWe are a foster-based rescue where our available animals are kept in private homes. You can see our rabbits online, then make an appointment to meet the rabbit(s) you select. From time-to-time, we conduct adoption events where you can meet multiple rabbits. Because of RHDV2, these events have been paused.
