If you're looking for a sweetheart of a family dog, Opal is your gal! Opal is a beautiful heeler mix, about 6 years old and medium sized at 60 pounds. She adores children, gets along great with other dogs, and loves to play. She's a happy dog with a beautiful smile! Heelers are an active and athletic breed, and true to form Opal likes to play, enjoys chasing balls and zooming around the yard. She will need a fenced yard that is not chain link in order to enjoy her daily exercise. She also loves going for walks! After exercising Opal is very content to go indoors after playtime and be a calm and happy house companion. She is very much a people dog and gives great kisses. At night she will sleep in her dog bed or join you in your bed if you invite her. Opal has great manners and is fully housetrained as well as doggie door trained. She is a quiet dog who is on the shy side with new people and situations, but will quickly warm up. When she visited a working farm she was not reactive to cats, goats, pigs, or chickens. Opal would love a household with other dogs to hang out with, especially one about her size who wants to run and play with her.
