Great Pyrenees Dog for Adoption in Spring, Texas, 77536 USNickname: Appleton Posted Breed: Great Pyrenees (long coat). Adoption Fee: $300. Meet Appleton, born in November 2019 he has a personality similar to a cat, without all the judgey looks. Appleton prefers a lot of quiet time and will opt to spend the day sleeping in his kennel, or another dog’s kennel, or the cool tile by the front door. He will make an appearance to let you know it’s time for him to practice some alleviating yoga moves in the backyard (potty), when it’s breakfast/dinner time, and the occasional reassuring head pats. He is also not opposed to being “forced” to endure cuddles, if you insist, he will comply. You say you’re a “no dogs on the furniture- person,” perfect! He is kennel adapted, no accidents in the house, MIGHT know sit or he’s fairly intuitive and just does it at the right times, and low maintenance emotionally. He gets along with everyone; cats, females, males, and is gentle enough for kids. Appleton can be a little nervous in car rides but will lay down and nap. He is leash trained and barks infrequently unless provoked by another dog in the household. He has been known to steal empty food bags but will willingly give back. Appleton can have mild reactivity to other dogs being interested in his food/toys but is easily redirected.
