While she has come a long way she will do best in a home with some knowledge of this type of background and trauma these dogs have. While Jennie may never become a cuddle bug or lap dog she shows great potential for growth and improvement with the right kind of love and attention. Potential adopters should be willing to invest time in building a strong bond with Jennie. A gradual introduction to new experiences and people, along with positive reinforcement. An ideal home for Jennie would look like: Having a confident dog in her new home would be a great benefit to her as she can learn from them to trust the humans around her. A person who is home more often than not. Either no kids, or older kids who will respect her space. Low to moderate activity and noise level in the home. A fenced in yard is required. Consistent routine.
