This dog is a courtesy listing for one of our rescue partners Allen county animal rescue facility. They are a rural animal control shelter near Iola KS. Many dogs are brought to their facility after being found as strays, dumped, surrendered, or brought in by the city. However, because they are in such a rural town, they have a very small pool of adopters and have a hard time finding homes for the dogs in the shelter. Our promise as their rescue partner is that should someone apply through us, we will handle any transportation needed to get the dog to their forever home, we will assist with home visits, dog intros and anything needed to help get these dogs out of the shelter and into loving homes. Please fill out our online dog adoption application if you are interested in adopting this pet. Whittaker 2 years old and is as handsome and sweet as they come. He is a tall boy with a lot of love to give. He would make a great running buddy, and adventure pal as he is very active and always excited to be along for the ride with his favorite people. Whittaker likes other dogs but can come on strong as he is a big boy with lots of energy, so a dog that can handle his size would be ideal, and we would like to introduce him to you current dog to ensure everyone gets along. Whittaker loves kids and really just prefers a home with no kitties please! An experienced husky owner would be great but as long as you are willing to give him 101 time, lots of exercise, and don't mind a little extra vacuuming and brushing, he may be your guy!
