Johnny is a 1 and 1/2 year old shepherd that came to us with a skin condition called demodex. Demodex is a non-contagious skin disease that was easily controlled and healed in the comfort of his foster home. Johnny is back at the shelter and looking great and doing better then ever. Johnny loves to play outdoor with other dogs. Johnny loves his stuffed animal baby and very calm demeanor. We do have a 'slumber party' program which allows you to take a dog home before adopting to see if they are a good fit for your family. There is no cost or commitment for this - we provide the supplies, you provide the love! Not sure which pet you're interested in? Our adoption counselors will help you find the perfect fit.Come adopt from the Humane Society of South Mississippi (HSSM), a progressive animal welfare organization located in Gulfport, MS. Each year HSSM houses approximately 10,000 homeless pets. Every day we are fighting a space capacity crisis as we try to care for the overwhelming amount of abandoned local pets.
