Meet Ripley! Ripley was saved from a busy highway by a Good Samaritan and taken to Orange County Animal Care to be reunited with his family. His owner was contacted but never bothered to come for him, so we scooped him up on May 15th to become a Frosted Face. Ripley is 11 years old and weighs 15 lbs. He feels and looks so much better after a trip to our groomer! He is very sweet and does well with the many other little Frosted Faces in the play yard. Volunteers took Ripley on a solo outing to Liberty Station, and he did great! Ripley had so much fun walking, exploring, and being in the fresh air that he fell asleep in one of the volunteers laps on the way back to FFF. Ripley is such a good boy! Ripley went on a two-week Frosted Fling, and he earn glowing reviews for being a joy to have around. His Fling Mom reports: "We've learned a lot about Ripley while he was here with us: -He likes to be with humans all the time, preferably next to you or on your lap. Goes with anyone. Once he finds a position he doesn’t move and will sleep in one spot the entire night. He is content to be in same room with you or he will follow you around. He enjoys resting in the yard where he can see you if you are doing yardwork or reading. -No reactivity ever seen with our dogs. He does well sharing space but does not seek out other dogs for interaction. Aloof. -No prey drive to any small animals. Would do well with cats or rabbits. -No food reactivity. Takes treats gently. -Very easy to walk. Kids enjoyed walking him. He trots along and can walk up to 1/2 mile and doesn’t stop to smell everything. Takes care of business right away. -Rides well in car; prefers to be on someone’s lap. -Easy to bathe. -No meds or mobility issues. Ripley is a very low-maintenance, lower energy dog that is content lying next to you all day. He is the perfect dog to take out in public spaces since he is content to remain on your lap. Plus, he’s just so adorable!" Ripley is currently on a second Fling as he waits for his forever family. Might that be you?
