EMPEROR is still waiting and wishing for his forever home. This 8 year old , 32 lbs. boy remains to be the distinguished dapper gentleman we met when he entered rescue. During his time in foster care his foster mom saw that he was hiking up one of his back legs while walking. Emperor saw our orthopedic surgeon who diagnosed him with a high grade luxating patella requiring surgery to keep Emperor comfortable and out of pain. Emperor had his patella surgery several weeks ago and has recovered well. Now that he has his new knee Emperor is ready to get on with his new life where he can show off his “sit and shake” skills. Emperor knows how to use the doggie door and is housetrained. He still seeks out the sun and loves to soak up the rays for much of his days. Emperor loves to hang with his people. One of Emperor’s guilty pleasures is to suckle his bed and babies while snoozing the afternoon away. We have discovered that Emperor would probably do best as the only pet in the home and that a home with a yard would be best as he is highly reactive toward other dogs while on leash. So an only dog home with a yard would be Emperor’s dream home. Is your home the one Emperor has been wishing for?
