Allow us to introduce you to Honey, a sweetie, sweeter than honey. Her journey to our shelter began on the side of a freeway, where she was found very scared with sunburned ears/tail, total scorched paws, and a body covered in scars and scratches that tugged at our heartstrings. Initially shut down, Honey gradually learned to trust again with the help of our compassionate individuals who sat with her and shared her kennel, offering the comfort she needed when she first came in. Over time, Honey has healed up physically and emotionally. While we may never fully understand her past, we do recommend that she be the ONLY sole pet in her new home. Honey is still working on her leash manners but is making progress daily. With humans, she is an absolute sweetheart, finding her greatest joy in cuddling on your lap, wrapped in blankets, enjoying treats, and playfully chasing squeaky toys. Honey would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard and an experienced owner who understands the needs of dogs that have overcome a challenging past. She would benefit from someone with patience and the guidance she deserves. At a little over a year old, she's the perfect companion for an active individual or family ready to give her the love and attention she craves. Is that with you?
