Foster notes:Zeta is a doll! Gentle, very sweet and affectionate, anxious and insecure in new settings and situations. Prefers to be with her humans. Her tripod status does not slow her down one bit! She is all healed up and gets around perfectly fine. She can jump in the car and goes up and down our deck steps with no hesitation. Zeta is dog friendly. After gradual introductions she is doing great with our 2 dogs (one large, one toy breed). She shows no aggression and is not overly interested in them. She is more concerned with her environment and what is going on around her. Zeta enjoys chewing on her Benebone and loves stuffed toys with squeakers BUT she will absolutely destroy them (she has not tried to eat any stuffing or squeakers). She also likes Kongs with treats inside and did great with a couple of enrichment puzzles with hidden treats. Zeta is housebroken! Zero accidents in the house, waits to go outside to do her business. Now that she is integrated with our 2 dogs, she mostly runs free in our fenced yard, but we still take short leash walks to work on leash manners. She is fairly good on a leash but will sometimes pull and she is a strong girl.She was not a fan of the crate at first but now she is used to it and sleeps in her crate through the night (9-10 hours). She should be supervised while loose in the house because a lot of things are still new to her and she’s curious. I don’t think she has lived in a house before. She is always crated when we are away. I am home a lot, so she has not been crated for more than 3-4 hrs during the day.She is still learning to navigate our wood floors but is improving with time and well-placed throw rugs! She is curious and likes to explore, but is well mannered and mostly just sniffs politely. She hopped on the couch just once but quickly jumped off in response to a “no.” Zeta knows “sit” and “down” and responds well to gentle correction and reassurance. She is smart, learns quickly, and is food motivated. She rides well in the car but can easily get anxious and overstimulated. She went nuts the 2 times she saw a dog from inside the car. She is frightened of thunderstorms and loud noises (fireworks, etc). Zeta can be a “nervous nellie” and get anxious if her human leaves the room or if she is exposed to something new. She exhibits anxiety by panting, whining, and barking. Zeta seems to be a medium energy dog. She enjoys leash walks, exploring our fenced yard, and ale
