ABOUT BUB He is a goofy lab mix, just over 4 years old. He came to us from a high-intake shelter partner in Louisiana, where he was found as a stray. He was very underweight when he first got to HAP, but our volunteers and staff were sure to give this man some extra treats til he was a healthy size again! Despite his rough past, he loves meeting new people and can't wait to give you the biggest hug. In addition to being affectionate, he also loves to play and explore. He enjoys laying in puppy pools and bunny hopping his way around our fenced fields. He can often be found carrying around a stuffed toy or bone. He walks great on a harness and loves enrichment toys, such as kongs and food puzzles. Bub is very food motivated, making him a quick learner! He already knows some basic commands, such as 'sit', 'paw', and 'stay'. Our staff can't understand how this loyal, loving boy hasn't been scooped up yet. If you give this baby a chance, we're sure he will wiggle his way into your heart! **Bub would need to be your only furbaby** If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
