✨ Phoenix ✨ Phoenix was picked up as a stray covered in mange and was supposed to be euthanized the day before Thanksgiving, but thankfully she was able to make it out of the shelter alive and into a foster home where she has become spoiled rotten. Phoenix is a 9-10 month old 35 pound pittie mix. She is a snuggle bug and likes to spend her time indoors on the couch or laying around. It is a MUST that her forever home have lots of toys to play with because she needs to have one close by at all times, even on long walks. She is house trained, crate trained, walks perfectly on a leash, and gets along well with other dogs. She would prefer a home where she will be an indoor dog, she hates going outside in the cold and especially if it’s raining. She still has some scarring on her skin from the mange but hopefully with time it will recovery 100%. This little girlie is special and will absolutely steal your heart if you let her.Adoption processA potential adopter will submit a application. A vet reference is very helpful and will speed the adoption process along. Once approved, a phone interview will be conducted and the adopter will sign a contract. Transport will then be scheduled to bring the new pet home.Shelter locationThe majority of our dogs/cats are fostered in Alabama. We have wonderful foster families that contact all applicants to answer any additional questions or provide more photos and videos. Once a application is approved our dogs/cats are transported north to their new families. We use a private transport that is USDA certified and Licensed. All dogs are fully vetted and will travel with a Alabama Health Certificate and their medical records. We are a 501C3 rescue. We can offer references upon request.
