Hi! My name is Anakin but my friends call me Ani (ANN-EE), just like my Star Wars name-sake! I had a rough start to life but I'm learning what being a dog is all about and so far, 10/10 would recommend!! I love food which is great because I've been gaining weight and getting healthier. Because I'm feeling better, I've also become more cuddly, playful, and adventurous with exploring new things. Did you know that they make toys that SQUEAK? Best. Thing. Ever. I'm really loyal to my people, so someone who wants to hang out most days or go on adventures together would be a great match! I do really well in the car and mostly just nap so I'm ready to be your car buddy. Potty training is a work in progress but don't worry...I'm making so much progress every day and I know I can do it! I do have anxiety, so someone who can have patience and advocate for me would make me a very happy pup! I'm also vision impaired but this doesn't phase me much once I get to know my surroundings. I'm learning how to be a dog and that life is good and not scary. So for now, I'd love to be the only dog in the home. This could change as I get more confident, but for now I need a safe space to heal my body and heart. If you want to be my new best friend, "use the force" and apply above!
