This is Sammie Boy, the most unique looking playful boy!! Sammie was at a local motel when another guest there (who is a friend of one of our southern fosters) overheard his "owner" say they were just going to let him loose in the streets. Seemed to be an issue with finding dog friendly housing. Needless to say, once our foster learned of this, he did not want Sammy to join the droves of strays in the area, so he scooped him up.This boy wants to be where the action is, out with his foster buddies and his people. He is not too fond of his crate right now because he feels he is missing out on something, even when he isn't being excluded from anything.Sammie absolutely loves his food. He will do anything for a treat. This is a great thing as training is so much easier with a food motivated pup.He is not food aggressive toward any people. You can even pick up his food bowl while he’s eating from it. However, he will not share with another dog, so will need to fed or given treats separately.An ideal home for this boy would be with an active household and another active canine to be his BFF. Sammie would do best in a yard with a sturdy stockade or vinyl fence as he can scale a six foot chain link in a hot second to get where he wants to be. If he were in an unfenced yard, he will require a long lead at all times until he is solidly trained in recall. Pile up on the treats!!Sammie loves going for a ride in the car. He takes any open car door as an invitation to climb in.
