Great Dane Dog for Adoption in Bullard, Texas, 75757 USNickname: Julius Posted Breed: Great Dane. LOCATION: River Falls, WisconsinDOB: 05/17/2021 (Estimate) Julius is a magnificent black Dane. He has cropped ears that tend to do their own thing at times, and a personality as unique. It is hard to look at him without appreciating his beauty and quirky style. Described as a bit clingy, Julius finds comfort in being close to his people when they are home (AKA Velcro Dane). He thrives on attention, especially from human males. He met a mini pig and did great. He saw a barn cat and tried to chase it but he was redirected easily. He has proven to be good with the dogs he's encountered but he MUST be in a kid-free home. Julius needs to be in a low traffic house. His forever owner needs to be someone with Dane experience who can read the body language of a dog, and do proper introductions to new human friends when and only if Julius is showing responsiveness. He is house trained and crate trained. He needs continued leash work and he is a little head shy when you reach for his collar. Both of these things are being worked on with his foster parents and are improving. He does not resource guard food or toys from other dogs or humans. He is VERY smart and picks up on training quickly. Julius clearly yearns for a home where he is provided the love and affection of a devoted owner. He needs an adult family who can keep up on his training, confidence, and social skills. He will need parents who are ok with maybe not sharing Julius with the rest of the world (for instance keeping him in a separate room when guests come over).
