Location: West Columbia, SCName: PennyAge: 7.5 months Breed: Terrier Mix - was 25 lbs as of a month ago and should be done growing (does need to put some weight on so probably 30 lbs when filled out)M/F: FSpayed/Neutered/Shots: UTD on rabies & dhpp; scheduled for spay (adoptee can keep appt or transfer to a more local/preferred clinic/vet)Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: good with dogs and kids; was fine with cats before and can cat test again upon requestAggression or medical issues?: no known medical - read below for “aggression”Reason for rehoming?: was adopted and returned for being territorial over family from others. I did not witness these behaviors upon her return but I am someone who raised her for awhile. I do know she is extremely hyper upon return so it is quite possible she was simply frustrated from not being able to exert energy enough or wasn’t taught how to appropriately act or introduced correctly. House/crate trained?: yes to both per my history and hers, just have to be mindful of behaviors and she will let you know when she needs to go out. Per my experience and adoptees, the only time she had accidents were right by the door when she was trying to let someone know she needed to go out and we simply missed her cues. Additional info/story (personality):Very sweet and affectionate. Have had no issues besides her being a bit hyper but she understand down and sit. Very responsive to treats and should be able to be further trained easily. Does extremely well on a leash. Message/comment if interested. Adoption application & contract required to ensure good home and remaining vetting is completed (spay).Adoption processWe have both an online application form and print-out application form available for use. Applications are normally reviewed within 24 hours of being sent in.Shelter locationWe are foster based only at this time. Meet and greets for dogs must be scheduled in advance.Meet and greets for cats are near impossible normally because we all foster/house both cats and dogs and the dogs "go off" when visitors come over making all the cats hide.
