To adopt please fill out an adoption application . Muffin is a 9yo female pit bull terrier mix being surrendered by her owner in TN who can no longer keep her. Muffin has been with her family for 8 years and they’re very sad about re-homing her, but in the past months Muffin has become increasingly aggressive with their older dog and, at this point, it would be best for both dogs to re-home to a family with no other pets. Muffin isn’t aggressive with all dogs and isn’t aggressive at all times with their other dog, but she’s frequently reactive and takes it out on the other dog. If another dog shows anything other than complete submission she does get nervous and becomes aggressive. Friendly and well socialized with people. Calm, low activity level, sleeps a lot, low maintenance. Muffin has been socialized with kids but it’s felt that, with her recent reactivity, it’s best she go to a home with no young children. Housebroken. Obeys basic commands. Loves to be with her people. Good on a leash, rides great in the car. Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, spayed, weighs about 60 pounds. Muffin’s ideal adopter is an older single person or retired couple who loves the terrier breed, has no kids or other pets and wants a nice, low maintenance older girl to hang with.
