Oliver and his two siblings were from an oops litter that owner could not find homes for. We found sister Daisy a home right away but while we waited for a foster home to open for Oliver and his brother Finn, they came down with parvo. They got over it easily, thankfully, and are very happy, healthy boys still waiting for their furever homes! If your family is looking for an active pup to be your companion, Oliver is your guy! In typical Labrador fashion, he likes water and will be your jogging/hiking buddy. He likes to chase a ball and will bring it back provided it's not too hot outside or he's not already tired! Ollie has pretty good listening skills and knows some basic commands: sit, lay down, come and stay. He's mastered potty training and crate training, and does pretty well on a leash. Ollie needs exercise, activities, and chew toys to keep him busy or he will chew on things he shouldn't. He does need crated when you're not at home. Ollie is great with children, dogs and cats and so ready for a family of his own! Born on New Year's Eve, Ollie is 8 months old and weighs about 75 lbs. Ollie will come to his adopter up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. He will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract with adopter promising to spay/neuter at a later date and must show proof at that time. *Being fostered in Davenport, IA area* Adoption Requirements: Oliver requires a minimum 5 ft fence (not chain link as he can go under the fence). In order for your application to be approved, you must pass a home check and a vet check which includes having at least a two year vet history. Adopters can be located in Missouri and surrounding states: Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Indiana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. We are able to transport to those states.
