Lorent is a purebred 4 year old Norwegian Elkhound boy, weighing 55-60 pounds and looking for a forever home and a promise to be a loving companion. This beautiful boy is still a young man, but past the crazy puppy years. He is somewhat quiet compared to the majority of Elkhounds and though he has never had any formal training he intuitively has some manners and doesn't jump or bounce around. Lorent hasn't had the best start to life; he lived in a situation where his physical needs were met, but has never had the chance to know what a soft bed, toys, treats, or a family home is like. Lorent gets along so well with other dogs. Because of his calm and accepting nature he would be a good fit with almost any family dynamic though we think he will thrive best in a calm routine initially. Elkhounds are generally known to be good with children and we see no reason that this boy wouldn’t love them too. With time, Lorent would likely enjoy outings and socializing with others. Norwegian Elkhounds are an ancient breed, bred to be a guardian and friend to people. They are known for their intelligence, loyalty and affection to their family. Elkhounds are not very common, but the people who have had one in their life quickly become their biggest fan. Critter Calvary is committed to this sweet boy getting his happy ending.
