Are you looking for a sweet & playful companion for you & your dog? Meet Olive! She'll win your heart when you pick her up and she nuzzles her nose into your neck! She loves good company and will express her joy with big butt wiggles! This goofy, curious, sweet little lady has lots of super fun puppy energy and is also an excellent napper. It's hard to resist her floppy ears, long legs & sensitive brown eyes! Olive is shy at first and is learning to open up pretty quickly. She's a gentle soul and is good with children & people. Even around kids with quick hands, she remains calm & poised! Once she's comfortable she turns into a cuddle bug with an endless supply of soft kisses and hugs! She really lights up around other dogs (all ages) and will be happiest in a home with another dog to teach her the ropes and help her feel comfortable & confident. Her favorite activities are tug-o-war, chasing balls, being outside, and playing with the resident dogs. She's 90% potty trained and sleeps in a dog bed beside her foster parents at night (7-8 hours!). She's trusted to roam free in the house with the resident dogs while her foster mom runs errands. Olive can be timid around loud noises and new environments but is gradually getting more comfortable with practice. She's a very brave girl! Since she's treat & food motivated training is a lot of fun, plus she's a very good listener and is eager to please - she knows a few commands and words already! She also takes treats very gently - her eyes get wide and fill with excitement when she sees a treat coming her way. It's the cutest thing! Sweet Olive is searching for a person/family that is gentle, patient & willing to shower her with love & kindness. She will do best in a home with another dog & with a fenced in backyard as this girl LOVES to be outside! Olive is estimated to be 8 months old and 32 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. We can only place animals in homes within a 100 mile radius of Minneapolis.
