Speaking of senior dogs (Babs), Ari is a spring chicken at only 7 years old. She deserves a loving home family for her senior years too! Ari loves living at her foster home and has learned so much there. Now she is ready for her furever and ever and ever home1 Ari is good with people of all ages, including kids. TBH, she prefers people to other animals. Ari's whole bottom wiggles when greeting her good friends. She loves going on walks, riding in cars, and golf carts, and carrying her wubbie. Ari prefers a calm household and is a perfect housemate. If you'd like to meet Ari, contact the shelter to make a date. You won't regret it! If you are interested in adopting from the City of Georgetown Animal Shelter, please fill out an application at https://records.georgetown.org/Forms/AdoptApp . Approved applicants will be contacted to schedule an appointment to meet available dogs and cats. Please contact the shelter with any additional questions The application/screening process for potential adopters usually takes about 24 hours except when it falls over a weekend or holiday, and then it may take two or three days. We ask that potential adopters please be patient with us; we are only trying our best to ensure that the homeless pets in our care get the best possible home. All cats and dogs adopted from our shelter are spayed or neutered (as Texas law mandates). Our adoption fee is currently $70 for non-residents and $75 for residents*. The adoption fee includes: spaying/neutering vaccinations (appropriate to species and age) heartworm or feline leukemia test (appropriate to species and age) de-worming medication microchip (a tiny ID tag inserted under the skin, which allows your pet to be returned to you quickly) There is a $5 Pet License fee added to the adoption fee if the adopter lives inside the City Limits of Georgetown.
