Female, ~2 years old, ~48 lbs. Approximate Age: ~2 years old Approximate Weight/Size: Medium/Large Good with: Dogs Not tested with: Cats, Kids Hi, I'm Janet! I am a sweet hound mix that just loves life. I love going for long walks and runs, but I do not require much exercise at all. I will happily sleep on my bed during the day and am a perfect work from home buddy! I am crate trained, and have been tested in a crate at night for up to 8 hours. I absolutely love other dogs and have been having a great time with my 80-lb foster sister. Even though she is bigger than me, I love to play and get the zoomies. Sometimes I shy away when I meet new people (but only for the first 5-10 seconds and then I am your best friend). I am working on "sit" and "stay" and do well on my harness on walks. I am super food motivated, so training shouldn't be too challenging! I am looking for a family who can help me with basic obedience training like learning what should and should not be chewed and how it's not OK to counter surf. I'm a curious pup and sometimes that gets the best of me, but I'm smart so I will learn quickly. I am not a great running buddy (I get too distracted) but I have been given an "A+" by my foster mom for my leash skills. Going on walks with me is a breeze! Both the city and the country would be great for me, and I would do well in any environment (house, apartment, etc.). I am a hound, however, so I can be vocal at times. This includes in the morning when I want to go for a walk or when you leave the house. I quiet down relatively quickly, but something to be mindful of. If you give me a treat when I go in my crate I will comply and snuggle up with my stuffed animals. I love squeaky toys and chew toys and playing tug-o-war. I can't wait to find my forever home where I can share all the love I've got to give!
