ABOUT:Bob Ross is the sweetest, gentlest, purest soul. He loves everyone and is happy to meet new people and new dogs. Bob Ross knows only friends and does not have a mean bone in his body. He loves to crawl up onto your chest and give kisses, and is always happy to follow you around the house. Bob Ross is the kind of guy who jumps up on your lap when you sit down to put your shoes on, if you squat down he will run under you and roll over so you can rub his belly, as if that was the reason you were down there. Our vet guessed that he is around 8-10 years old. He is a well behaved house member and doesn’t get into any trouble or mischief. He is crated during the work day in his foster home. Bob Ross is very calm in the house, but he absolutely loves going for walks. He generally walks well on leash, but has some extra pep and hops in the first block as he gets his excitement out. Bob Ross is good about going potty outside, but he does do some marking behavior. This has improved greatly in his foster home with observation and being neutered. His adoptive home will need to continue working on this with him. He does not like to be scolded, so with some monitoring we think Bob Ross will eventually get the hang of it. He is agreeable to wearing male belly bands for the times you cannot watch him. Bob Ross has not been around any children, but he is so sweet and gentle we think he will do fine with any children old enough to treat him with kindness. Bob Ross is absolutely great with other dogs, but he is innocent and oblivious and doesn’t understand personal space and doesn’t take signals well. He can be unintentionally accidentally forward with other dogs. So he would need to be adopted into homes with tolerant dogs who aren’t easily annoyed, and won’t mind when he nudges his way in to share the attention...because Bob Ross never misses an opportunity for attention. Alternatively, Bob Ross will be completely content and happy to be an only dog. We do not know how Bob Ross is with cats, but he has not shown any extra attention to them on walks. Bob Ross does not have any teeth left, so his food needs to be softened for his meals and he cannot eat hard food or treats. He loves whipped cream, canned cheese, and pieces of lunch meat.
