Cassie is a perky- eared princess who came to PACC a bit beat up. Our clinic staff got her fixed up, and she’d love to head back out of the shelter and into a home! Cassie recently got to have a sleepover away from the shelter- here’s how it went:“Cassie is a very sweet and friendly pocket pittie of love!! She was very excited and well behaved in the car (she looked out the windows and laid down on the seat). At my house, she was a good watchdog - I only heard her bark one time when a car pulled up on the other side of the fence. She wasn’t interested much in chasing balls, tug toys, or playing keep away/chase with my dogs. Most of the time, she followed me around the house, cuddled with me on the couch, asked for pets, and freely gave kisses.She knows what a leash is and got very excited to go on short walks. She knows “sit” and is very easy to harness and leash up. At 40 lbs, she wasn’t too much for me to walk - she pulled lightly the first minute of the walk, but once settled, she had a loose leash style. She has a beautiful silver/blue/white coat and happy pittie smile. Cassie’s right front paw has two nails that appear to have been injured/healed over the nail. She doesn`t like to stand on that paw on dirt/gravel surfaces and has a hippity-hop style of getting around. Cassie is very bright and learned how to use the dog door quickly so housetraining should be easy. She slept the entire night in her crate with no accidents.”Cassie has shared her shelter kennel and was social, tolerant, and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She can be a bit assertive at times, so a meet and greet with any resident dogs is never a bad idea! Ask to meet Cassie today!
