FOSTER FAMILY NEEDED FOR HEART WORM POSITIVE OSCAR--Oscar is a 5-year-old male Shiba Inu mix who has already been neutered. He came to the shelter as a stray; and even though he is microchipped we were unable to reunite him with his owner. A call was made to the number registered with the chip; and the person who answered not only hung up on staff--they blocked us. Oscar has a medium length black coat with very light tan (some say cream) markings. He's a handsome guy and he weighs only 21 pounds. Oscar is leash trained and crate trained. He is good with other dogs and children. Although highly adoptable--Oscar has tested positive for heart worms; and he needs to be in a foster home for 1-2 months while he is being treated. PAHS will pay for his medical treatment; and we will provide everything you need to foster Oscar--bedding, crates, food, etc. Please consider letting Oscar hand out at your house. WARNING--you are probably just going to fall in love with him and end up never wanting to let him go. We call that a 'foster fail' and it's a good thing for both the foster family and a dog like Oscar. Dog/puppy adoption fees are $100. Cat/kitten adoption fees are $50.
