Heartworm Prevention is given on the 15th of each month Chai has recently come into Rescue after wandering up to the finders front yard. The finder looked everywhere for her possible owners but to no avail and then reached out to CTDR for assistance and we were able to get Chair to a foster home right away. She has started her vetting process. To help us cover those expenses, on November 1, 2004 our adoption fee will increase to $250, and puppies under 1 year of age will be $300. 1.) Complete our online ADOPTION APPLICATION at (www.ctdr.org/phpform/forms/application.html) and list the names of all the dogs you're interested in. If you don't currently see a dog that matches your family, please tell us more about what you're looking for. We have new dogs weekly and will contact you if a dog comes in that meets your requirements. Don't forget to list the name and number of your current veterinarian and landlord, if applicable! We will contact your current vet, landlord and personal references, if needed. 2.) After we receive your application, we'll contact you to discuss the specifics of what you're looking for. We will try to contact you within 3-7 days, but we are all volunteers and have full time jobs, so be patient with us! 3.) Once we have completed all reference checks, we will schedule a home visit where someone from our organization will come to your home and meet you and your family and any pets you currently have.4.) Finally, we will schedule a time when your family and pet(s) can meet your desired rescue dachshund. If a long transport is involved, we ask the potential adopter to arrange the transportation of the dog.
