Humble Oliver is one of the dearest and most vulnerable Mini Aussie boys that we have met in a while. He was born June 2023 and somehow in just the first 6 months of his life he was turned in to a kill shelter in East Tennessee and then adopted by a senior couple with another dog. The adopters’ dog was not nice at all to poor Humble Oliver and soon they were reaching out to the general social media postings to try and find him a new home and not return him to the shelter. This boy just makes you want to grab him up and rock him in your arms with love for hours on end. He is just so timid, but sweet and we are just amazed at house mannerly he is. He knows the doggie door and seems to be housebroken. He will crate pretty easily and he is totally a pussycat with the other dogs in the foster home. He is living with a confident but aloof regular sized Aussie boy who is showing Oliver that he is the boss and Oliver must follow his rules. This Mini Aussie is 26 pounds and will top out at 30 pounds when fully grown we feel. We know that he needs confidence built and that can be done quickly and with consistent and calm reinforced love and training. All he wants to be is deeply loved and the chance to crawl into your lap for kisses and rubs. He gets along with other dogs but is a little submissive. He needs a family familiar with this sensitive Aussie breed and a secured and fenced yard. He would be fine with cats, dogs and children over the age of 8 years who will not be too loud and active. We think a nice calmer home would be just what he needs. This handsome tri-colored boy is a gem and with his confidence renewed and supported, he will be your best gift you could give yourself.
