Parker was rescued as a puppy and quickly adopted however for one reason or another that home did not work out. Parker then spent over a year at Linn County Animal Control waiting for his forever home. As a result of being in a kennel for so much of his life he doesn't show the best when kenneled, he gets scared and barks or jumps at the kennel bars. However, please do not let this deter you! Parker the icy days in January in our admin area hanging out with staff and finally relaxing. Parker is VERY smart! He knows sit, down, shake. He has demonstrated great recall and has been working on off leash recall when walking outside. Parker LOVES toys! He loves to play fetch and tug, but most of all he loves to shred his toys (don't worry he is always supervised with toys). Parker bonds quickly with people and there is go greater feeling than knowing you have made a dogs entire day just be simply showing up. Parker is a happy, energetic, loving boy who desperately needs to find his forever home. He will sometimes bark at new people but quickly becomes the happy, playful boy we have come to know. If you are an active person with a loving home and a big back yard please ask to meet this boy!
