Herky, with his soulful eyes and charming demeanor, is ready to steal your heart. At just 7 lbs., Herky is a petite boy. Yes, he’s a tad overweight, but that only adds to his cuddle factor. Herky is a 2-year-old gentleman who knows the ropes. He’s past the puppy stage and ready to settle into a loving home. Herky wants to be your new best friend! While Herky gets along with other dogs, he’s not interested in rowdy playdates. He seeks an adult human who appreciates his company. Herky isn’t a fan of the chaos that comes with young kids. However, older children he would be fine with. Herky would love someone to take him on walks. He does like exploring the yard but a dog park with other dogs in his face is not his thing. Herky is good at housetraining if let out enough. He will jump on your lap and want to sit near you and snuggle and give little kisses. To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $400 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs. We do not ship dogs. All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first.
