Arkan (3/2015) is a gorgeous, German Shepherd who found himself euth listed due to no fault of his own. With no time to spare, but luck on his side, Arkan was packed up, buckled in, and sent off to begin a new chapter with a foster who literally saved this sweet boy's life! Arkan is comfy in his new environment, and he has shown that he is kennel-trained and potty-trained. He loves taking long walks, sniffing the trees and poles, and exploring the neighborhood early in the morning or later in the evening! He does take time to warm up to strangers and is learning that people can be safe and fun! No kids, please, because this young boy likes to play! Tho he might enjoy a dog in his furever home. He tends to do best with laid-back senior large dogs. Young energetic dogs and small dogs are just a bit much for this guy! Due to Arkan's initial fear of meeting new people, he cannot go to an apartment or environment where he would need to meet new people often. He is not a fan of movements such as bikes, scooters, motorcycles, cars, traffic, etc., so needs a quiet life ahead! The suggested adoption donation for Arkan is $315. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX-DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2020 alone, we were able to provide animal Healthcare costing over $241,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs.
