Petey is a happy dog that is waiting for is forever home! He can be little timid when meeting new people but will warm up with some patience and yummy treats. Initially, it takes him a few days to warm up to people, but he's the perfect companion once he's comfortable. He's a little cautious around new dogs and people, but he enjoys their company after they've been properly introduced. He's a curious dog and will always come to see what you're doing.Petey starts his day with a morning walk, pets, and breakfast. During the daytime, he's basking in the sunlight or hanging out on the couch. He's always up for some midday play time, either playing tug or fetch or accepting more pets. He also likes going for walks around the neighborhood. He's a little nervous in crowded spaces but generally likes open areas. foster family usually takes him for a walk around noon and 4pm as well since he enjoys being outside, and will do short runs with him. He's a big fan of chasing after squirrels and playing with his dog friends. He's very energetic and would make an excellent running or hiking partner.He always likes to be near his human pals, either in the same room as them or sitting close to them on the couch.Petey LOVES pets - some days he will melt into the ground and lie flat for more pets. He'll always be happy to see you; his tail will wag as you approach him. When he's super happy and excited, he'll jump a little, but it's fairly easy to calm him down and get him to sit.His foster home was fairly quiet and was a single pet home, and he seemed to do well in this environment.
