If dogs had romance novels, Astro would be on the cover! Yes, Astro is very handsome, but that’s not all. He has good manners, both indoors and out, and waits patiently for his meals. He is a smart guy, who already knows some commands, such as sit, stay, paw, come. He gets along with other dogs at the dog park, walks nicely on the leash, and enjoys meeting other calm dogs. At home, Astro is best as the only dog star in a family…but he’ll light up your life all on his own. He’s an active dog and loves (and needs) his walks and enjoys getting out on a few good walks every day…and if you’d like an enthusiastic running partner, your search is over. A fenced in backyard would be a plus for Astro. When the weather is nice, he will sit back there, and sun bathe, while keeping watch on all the squirrels. He relates well to people and when friends come to visit, he gives them a big welcome and will show off his toys. Astro likes to cuddle, but wants to be the initiator, and in the morning will greet his family warmly with kisses and cuddles. Astro likes to play with his toys, and will chase after a ball if thrown. Astro sleeps quietly all night, is housebroken, neutered and up to date on all vaccines. In summary, he is a lover! Astro is a lovely young man who can’t wait to be a devoted companion to his new forever family. The adoption donation for a puppy/dog is $400; a cat is $125; and a kitten is $150 (higher amounts for pure breeds). If the puppy or kitten is too young to be neutered, we require a spay/neuter deposit of $60 which is refundable upon receipt of proof from your vet. All adoption donations are tax-deductible. Our pets are examined by a veterinarian, spayed and neutered if age appropriate, vaccinated, dewormed, receive flea/tick treatment and microchipped. Our review process may happen quickly (within two days) or may take up to two weeks - email is our preferred means of communication.
