Adopt Cleo a All Black Domestic Shorthair (short coat) cat in Carlinville

Location:
Carlinville, IL
Description:

Miss Cleo had the toughest time of all of her buddies when we found them. Cleo came to us nearly hairless, most likely caused by a lot of stress and change. She was so stressed out that she was literally pulling out her hair. It is devastating to see that much stress on such a young little girl. Most of it has grown back now. She is so incredibly stunning. She is very loving, likes to in your arms and will sit on your lap forever! She is such a lover girl and deserves a quiet home where she can be stress-free and flourish at her own pace. She is a true gem! She will be great with kiddos!Five kitties: Elwood, Penny, Peyton, Tabbie are all FIV+. All five of them were abandoned by their owner and thrown outside to fend for themselves— a disaster waiting to happen. Since they were NOT vaccinated and had to fend for themselves, they were bullied and ALL got infected. These cats certainly deserved better, so please open your heart and home to this sweet one. They are all around 12 months old, so they could be siblings. Julie, our administrator says, “These five have completely stolen my heart. They all like be held and will love on you for days. All of them! They are just dolls.”Medical Details: FIV (Kitty Aids) is ONLY contagious to other cats (NOT humans or dogs). FIV is passed on through puncture wounds from a FIV+ cat, either by biting or scratching. (These 5 are extremely kind and sweet, so no wonder they were attacked by other street cats.) Fortunately, FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives, but must be indoor only cats, and be either:1. The only kitty in the home, OR2. Live with other FIV+ cats OR 3. Live with FIV negative cats that like other cats AND are vaccinated yearly for FIV. It is completely normal for them to exist with other cats and not infect others with FIV!....Please come meet this sweet soul soon! (We keep our posts up-to-date.) We do ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, on a first-come/first serve basis. The EASIEST and QUICKEST way to make an appointment is to click the blue "Book Now" button at the top of our Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/maccoanimalcontrol.
