Meet Rescue, a 1-year-old male Shepherd mix.While Rescue's past is unknown, it is obvious from his appearance that he has not had an easy life so far. Rescue has an old injury to his muzzle and his ear sustained some trauma in the past but is fully healed. Rescue arrived underweight to the adoption center and was unsure about all the action around him. He has been slowly coming out of his shell and is trying hard to figure out was is expected of him. Rescue loves treats and has been enjoying calm socialization fro the shelter staff. He needs an adopter that can go slow with him and help him see that humans are loving. Rescue might like other dogs but a meet should be done prior to adoption. This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-XXXX.If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known.
