German Shepherd Dog Dog for Adoption in HARRISONVILLE, Missouri, 64701 USNickname: Harlow Benji Hello. I am unfortunately looking for a home for my two purebred GSD. I suffered a hip injury in November and am needing surgery. I am unable to give them the lifestyle (physically and financially) that they need and have been accustomed to recently and seeing as how its looking like the end of the year before I will be able to I have made the difficult decision to rehome them. Harlow (3 year old Sable female, spayed, shorter in stature but a solid 63 lbs of muscle) a sweet girl. She DOES NOT get along with other female dogs. She seems to do okay with male dogs but its not something I would recommend risking to try. She will chase cats as well. She is friendly with everyone she meets and will let you know if someone is even near your house. She is a very motivated and active girl. She loves to play fetch and then kinda fake you out to get her ball back. She can typically be found walking around the house with a toy, sock or the occasional shoe. She needs a ton of exercise and loves going for walks, bike rides, hikes, etc.Benji (1.5 year old Sable male, unaltered, taller and lean around 60 lbs) a loveable oaf of a dog. He is very submissive inside the home but seems to get a little rowdy when he outside around dogs. He doesnt seem very interested to play with toys/balls just wants to take them from other dogs. He walks well on a leash and enjoys going for long walks. He loves absolutely everyone, little ones included, he just a big clumsy boy with zero spatial awareness so newly walking tiny humans might not be safe from his lethal tail wags and clumsy walking. I am heartbroken to have to make this choice. I love them dearly and this is killing me. But watching them not get the mental/physical stimulation that they deserve and seeing them become overwhelmed and sad is more painful to me. both potty trained, crate trained and leash trained. Harlow is a bit of a puller but still does good. They also don’t need to go together, but would prefer it.
