Alice is currently in foster care!Meet Alice A1886106. Alice is a loving, beautiful 2 yr old spayed playful girl. Alice is highly intelligent, very trainable and food motivated for that training. It is evident that she has already been taught basic commands such as `sit`, `down`, `no`, and `bed` where she will go to her bed as you point to it. Alice loves going for a walk, nothing gets her tail waggin` more than when she sees a leash. She is still learning how to walk straight forward , but after a minute of initial excitement she gets into the groove and will even walk next to you. We will continue working on this. At home she is most comfortable in a dog bed with lots of chews and squeak toys. Chew toys are her favorite. She will fetch anything if you throw it! She is young with lots of energy that she likes to let out in the morning after a few throws of a toy in the backyard. Alice is a constant shadow, always by your side, she loves to place her head on your feet while you`re sitting on the couch. She knows not to get on the furniture or chew up the table legs! Again, she is a smart dog and only took a few days to adjust to our home. Alice does best with other dogs that can match her energy and medium to large dogs. Small dogs are not her cup of tea and older dogs are not always happy with her efforts to play. It is unknown how she does with cats. Alice currently uses a doggy door to go `potty` outside on her own. She does respond to being let out and told to `go potty`. In the beginning, before she was used to the doggy door she had an accident or two but she knew immediately it was wrong with a `I`m sorry` in her eyes. All Alice wants to do is be next to you, she sometimes gently nudges your hand with her nose for a pet or attention. She loves belly rubs, full body hugs and pets. She has a beautiful short haired coat that makes her quite beautiful with grey and white markings and a cute pink nose! Alice`s time has come for a forever home. She dreams of a home with love, maybe a yard to run, and someone to give her all the attention and treats she deserves! Email XXXX@houstontx.gov if you are interested in Alice!
