Apply to Adopt Me! Kelcee is just THE best dog. She is SUCH a love. This tricolor aprox. 2 1/2-year-old, 25lb. beagle mix is friendly to anyone and everyone she meets. She is sooo happy, when she wags her tail, her entire back end swings back and forth. She loves pets and belly rubs. Meal time? This girl gets super excited! She is house trained, crate trained, gets extremely excited about car rides, knows “sit” command, is very smart, sleeps soundly through the night, and walks well on a leash (of course with her nose to the ground, I mean she is a hound!). She is very smart, and corrects easily when needed. She is great with other dogs and does fine with the resident indoor cat. Of course anything moving outside she will give chase to - squirrel, lizard, frog, stray cat. She hasn't really started playing with toys, but she does love an antler or a Benebone. Kelcee is submissive with other dogs, and is actually pretty calm for a young dog, she does well with younger and older dogs alike, as well as small and large dogs. Sweet Kelcee came into our rescue when she was found by one of our fosters who happened to be driving home when someone tossed Kelcee out of a truck on Interstate 95. She was dazed and bruised, but didn’t suffer any serious injuries. She did have pneumonia and an ear infection, which have been completely cleared up with wonderful care from our vet. Kelcee does have seizures from a known cause, but inexpensive anti-seizure meds keep them managed and she is stable. Kelcee is such a gem, that anyone who meets her will fall in love and realize that it is so worth having her as part of their family. Whoever adopts this sweet girl with the most soulful eyes, your love for her will be returned many times over. We are requiring someone who is home most of the time, has a single-story home with a secure fenced-in yard and no accessible-to-her pool.
