Baby is a 5-year-old Beagle. She weighs 22 pounds, and she is very special. She is so fun and her progress is either side of a teeter totter. For example, she is timid and shy, but if you go slowly and are quieter, she will be your best friend. She is a calm observer, but she also can be playful. She is nervous yet affectionate. We simply love her!She does rely on more confident dogs and needs a doggie sibling in her forever home. They need a yard for play with a 4-foot-high fence or higher. She approaches familiar people and takes treats from their hands. She is waiting for you to come meet her. She deserves the best family, and we are excited to help her find hers. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
