Hello!! I am Craig a hound mix… my foster family says they think I am part lab and am approximately two years old and I weigh around 50 lbs. I had a bit of a bumpy start at life and was rescued from the Kentucky shelter by Starfish. I am a friendly boy and enjoy being near my people!! My foster family says I am a front and center kind of fella and I can always make myself available for some pets/scratches! You will find me nearby your side. I am an excellent companion and full of personality. I can be energetic, but also enjoy lounging around…. Sometimes my foster dad has to get my off his favorite chair. I am happy to be in the yard taking in the sights or helping gather sticks. I am crate trained and currently sleep in my crate at night. I am good vibes kind of dog and will thrive in a home that uses positive reinforcement. My foster home has lots of toys to play with and I love them all, especially the squeaky ones. I hope that my new home will have toys for me! My foster family says I am very smart and have learned some basic commands as well as how to playing fetch. I am working on my house manners. My foster mom says at times I am like raising a teenager and need boundaries and structure … I can be a bit mouthy when I play and sometimes forgot my manners when I am excited, I can be jumpy... Life is so exciting…. and I just want to share this excitement!! It is best that I am in a family with older children. I am a still young and curious and would like some one who has time for me, I need exercise. Need to get a few more steps in?? I am available! We have been working on leash training and I am getting the hang of it. I do need some positive reinforcement and reminders. I am being fostered with 2 other dogs… we took our time getting to know each other. I can sometimes get in my foster brothers’ space, but do respond to being corrected. If you have another dog, I would love to run around the yard with them! Sometimes I get the zoomies!! I do like to play and a younger dog would probably be best. PREVIOUS DOG EXPERIENCE PREFERRED. Being rescued is the best, and I am looking for my forever home to help me shine! The adoption fee of $350 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.
