DELTA (M) BREED: Queensland Blue Heeler mixAGE: 12 weeks oldWEIGHT: 11 lbs.LIKES: Rope toys and wrestling with other dogs. Delta is a teething pup, so he likes bones, sticks, and “stuffies”, and is exploring the world with his mouth.DISLIKES: Being sprayed with a spray bottle, when he chews something he shouldn't, which means he readily responds to verbal correction.PERSONALITY TRAITS: This pup has a great temperament, and would make a wonderful family dog. He has moments of playfulness, and loves to play with other dogs. Delta is also happy to snuggle down on a dog bed, and is not especially needy for human attention, though he is happy to get it when he can. He will bark when he needs to tell you something, but overall is quiet.POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Working on it, with regular trips outside.CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Delta will put himself in his crate to go to sleep. Sometimes, at night, he is not ready for bed when his humans are (that 11 PM "second wind") so he will whine for a bit before settling down.EXTRAS/MISC.: While Delta’s mom was a Heeler, we don't know what breed his dad is. Based on temperament, it appears he is a calmer breed as Delta does not exhibit some of the hyperactive traits of the Heeler breed.Delta is smart and learns quickly. He respects the boundaries set by his foster family (like not going into the garage when the door is open). He is not needy for couch time. A dog bed or blanket on the floor keeps him quite content.Delta will likely be 30-40 pounds when fully grown.All puppies require extra time and patience, as well as solid supervision to help them reach expected milestones, like potty training and crate training.
