Meet Irvin! Your perfect diamond in the rough that is looking for his forever home. This 4-year-old German Shepherd mix is a calm and quiet boy, who knows every trick in the book! He knows how to sit, lay down, shake, roll over, and is even perfect on a leash. He would make the perfect family dog!! He is social and friendly towards other dogs, but if you have another dog at home we recommend that you bring them for a meet and greet to ensure that they get along before taking her home. We do offer a 'slumber party' program which allows you to take a dog home for a week before adopting to see if they are a good fit for your family. There is no cost or commitment for this - we provide the supplies, you provide the love! Irvin is up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped, and will be neutered upon adoption or slumber party. He is Heartworm positive, however the HSSM Wellness Clinic offers affordable treatment to all adopters. His adoption fee is $35. Come adopt from the Humane Society of South Mississippi (HSSM), a progressive animal welfare organization located in Gulfport, MS. Each year HSSM houses approximately 10,000 homeless pets. Every day we are fighting a space capacity crisis as we try to care for the overwhelming amount of abandoned local pets. Please consider visiting our shelter to adopt your next best friend.
